Roger Swanson Honored for 40 Years of Service

For those who may not know Roger well, he was the local veterinarian for Peekskill since forever so he has taken care of several Rotarian's pets over the years. Roger's major interest and contribution, among other things he has done for Rotary, was/is being in charge of the Youth Exchange program.  He and his wife Carole hosted many youths from all over the world for many years and coordinated with other clubs to ensure the kids had an amazing experience while here.  It was great to hear some stories of how he roped other members into helping at times. Roger was given a nice plaque and Carol was given a Certificate of Appreciation for (1) the one who actually made the Exchange Program work and (2) all her years of support with the Kountry Kitchen every year at the horse show.
