Walk-Trot Division
No age limit for beginner riders. Martingales prohibited. May not enter other classes except 1 and 2.

3.
Walk-Trot Equitation
To be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of the horse. Diagonals will be considered.
4.
Walk-Trot Pleasure
To be judged on manners, and actual suitability to purpose.
5.
Walk-Trot Hunter Under Saddle
To be judged on manners, performance and soundness.

Short Stirrup Division
Open to riders 13 years and under who have never competed over fences exceeding eighteen (18) inches in a show. May not enter other classes except 1 and 2. Champion to be presented the Ray Lapolla Memorial Short Stirrup Bowl.

Short Stirrup Walk-Trot
To be shown at a walk and trot both ways of the ring. Diagonals will be considered.
8.
Short Stirrup Walk-Trot-Canter
To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Diagonals and leads will be considered.
9.
Short Stirrup Cross-Rails
To be shown over eight (8) fences not to exceed 18" in height.

Maiden Equitation Division
Open to Junior riders 19 years of age and under.

Maiden Equitation
Open to juniors who have not won a blue ribbon in this class at any show. Walk, trot, canter.
13.
Maiden Equitation Over Fences
Open to juniors who have not won a blue ribbon over fences. Eight fences not to exceed 2'6" in height. Course to be posted.
14.
Maiden Equitation Over Fences
Open to juniors who have not won a blue ribbon over fences. Eight fences not to exceed 2'6" in height. Course to be posted.

Novice Equitation Division
Open to Junior riders 19 years of age and under.

Novice Equitation
Open to juniors who have not won three blue ribbons in this class at any show. Walk, trot, canter. Tests 1-7.
15.
Novice Equitation Over Fences
Open to juniors who have not won three blue ribbons over fences in any shows. Eight fences not to exceed 2'9" in height. Course to be posted. Tests 1-7.
16.
Novice Equitation Over Fences
Open to juniors who have not won three blue ribbons over fences in any shows. Eight fences not to exceed 2'9" in height. Course to be posted. Tests 1-7.

Children's Hunter Division
Open to horses and ponies to be shown by junior exhibitors under 19 years of age. All classes to be judged on performance and soundness with emphasis on manners. Extreme speed to be penalized. Fence height about 2'3" to 2'9". Champion to be presented the Hebe Gordon Memorial Cooler. A horse winning the Championship three years will win the Hebe Gordon Perpetual bowl.

Children's Hunter
To jump eight (8) fences not to exceed 2'9".
24.
Children's Hunter Under Saddle
Walk, trot, canter. Light contact with horse's mouth required. Martingales not permitted.

Adult Equitation Division
Open to amateur riders over 19 years. All classes to be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of horse. The champion to be presented with the Dr. Joseph B. Fontana Memorial Bowl.

Adult Equitation-Flat
To be judged at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Tests 1-18.
10.
Adult Cross Rails
To jump eight (8) fences not to exceed 2'6". Course to be posted
17.
Adult Equitation Over Fences
To be judged over eight (8) fences not to exceed 2'6". Tests 1-18.

Beginner Hunter Division
Open to any horse, pony or rider, INCLUDING AMATEUR ADULTS, that have not jumped fences exceeding 2'6" or higher at any horse show. Fences height 2' or lower, no in and out.

Beginner Hunter
To jump eight (8) fences not to exceed 2'.
25.
Beginner Hunter Under Saddle
Walk, trot, canter. Light contact with horse's mouth required. Martingales not permitted.

Pleasure Horse Division
Open to all ages — Youth and Adult

CLASS
 
23.
Pleasure Horse or Pony
Open to all ages - NY State Horse Council Inc. Perpetual Trophy. Must pay $10 to NYS Horse Council NHM to enter. To be shown at a walk, trot, canter both ways of the ring on a reasonably loose rein with no loss of contact. Must stand quietly and back willingly. To be judged on manners, performance, suitability to purpose and substance. Martingales and tie-downs prohibited. Further testing at the judge’s discretion. The winner will receive a NYSHC certificate. The horses in first and second places will qualify to ride off at the Fall 2006 NY State Fair.
26.
Open Command Class
Elimination class. Rider and horse perform to Judge's command. Last one out wins.
27.
Bridle Path Hack
Open to all ages. To be shown at a walk, trot, canter, back easily, stand quietly while rider dismounts, leads over one low jump, and remounts.

Miscellaneous Division

CLASS
 
1.
Youth Club
Fitting, Grooming and Showmanship. Horses and ponies to be shown in hand, in a halter or bridle, at a walk, trot, and standing. Contestants must be Youth Club Members.
2.
Model Conformation Hunter (Open to Horses and Ponies)
To be judged in hand on conformation and soundness.
22.
Lead Line Class (8 years and under)
To be led by an experienced handler. Walk only. May NOT enter other classes. To be held between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.
28.
Bareback
Contestants may be asked to walk, trot and canter.

English Championship Classes
In all cases: must enter all 3 Classes in division to be eligible for Championship

1.
Walk-Trot Division
Points from Classes 3, 4 and 5.
2.
Short Stirrup Championship
Points fro Classes 7, 8 and 9. Champion to be presented with the Ray Lapolla Memorial Bowl.
3.
Maiden Equitation Championship
Points from Classes 11, 13 and 14. The George Sampson Memorial Bowl.
4.
Novice Equitation Championship
Points from Classes 12, 15 and 16. The Ed, Fred and Ted DeChristopher Memorial Bowl.
5.
Children's Hunter Championship
Points from Classes 18, 19 and 24. Champion to be presented the Hebe Gordon Memorial Cooler. A horse or pony winning the Championship three years will win the Hebe Gordon Perpetual Bowl. Hebe Gordon was a 4-H leader for 18 years and supervised the Peekskill Rotary Club Horse Show for its first eleven years. She was a leader of the Cossacks 4-H Club.
6.
Beginner Hunter Championship
Points from Classes 20, 21 and 25. Cooler to be presented.
7.
Adult Equitation Championship
Points from Classes 6, 10 and 17. The Dr. Joseph B. Fontana Memorial Bowl.
8.
Pleasure Horse Championship
Points from Classes 23, 26 and 27.

All Championship Classes will be awarded on points only.
