Peekskill Rotarian Celebrates Rotary’s Centennial in Haifa, Israel

Peekskill Rotarian Don Plunkett (foreground) exchanged Rotary club banners with Eli Licter, president of the Rotary Club of Haifa, Israel, on Feb. 23, the 100th anniversary of Rotary International.

Dr. Plunkett was traveling on business in Israel and made it a point to visit the Haifa Rotary club which is the oldest club in Israel and, with 93 members, the largest. About the meeting, Plunkett wrote, "What a bunch of great people! They all want to visit NY so they wanted me to tell my friends to get their guest rooms ready. They all send their regards from Haifa to all of you."
