Bruce Lindenbaum — 2005 Volunteer Award Recipient

The Maureen Erickson Volunteer of The Year Award honor individuals who go above and beyond in their contributions to this community. The award was established in 2000. The first receipient was Maureen Erickson, who soon after past away from cancer. The award was then renamed in her honor. Other receipients have been, 2001, Debbie Milone; 2002, Don Bennett; 2003, James Kane; 2004, Marie Brehm; and Bruce Lindenbaum in 2005. Debbie Milone and Don Bennett are also Peekskill Rotarians.

Some of Bruce's contributions: Past Chairman and current Board member of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce; Chairman, Peekskill Celebration festival; President of the Plumbers and Mechanical Contracting Association, Hudson Valley Hospital Foundation Board Member, Member of the Mayor's Budget Advisory Committe for the City of Peekskill.

Bruce is also acitively involved in, of course, Rotary and the First Hebrew Congreation, where he co-chairs successful golf outings for both, and has been Treasurer of the Hendrick Hudson High School Sailors LaCrosse Club.
