Empire State Building Lights Blue and Gold for Rotary

The Empire State Building recognized Rotary's century of service by illuminating the building in blue and gold — Rotary's colors — in honor of the club's 100th anniversary Feb. 23. This photo is courtesy of the Rotary Club of Port Washington, N.Y. whose president, Mike Pries, provided the inspiration for the event.

Rotary is the world's first service club, founded in Chicago on Feb. 23, 1905. Today, 1.2 million Rotarians belong to some 31,000 Rotary clubs in 166 countries.
