COVID-19 Pandemic

Oscar Alleyne, DrPH, MPH, the Chief of Programs and Services for The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). Dr. Alleyne is responsible for membership and meetings services in addition to steering NACCHO’s four programmatic portfolios:

  1. Community Health assisting local health departments throughout the country providing tools and resources they need to keep their communities healthy.
  2. Environmental Health working with local health departments to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their environment.
  3. Public Health Infrastructure and Systems supporting local health departments as they develop a strong infrastructure and systems in place to run more effectively and to help their communities grow stronger.
  4. Public Health Preparedness providing resources to local health departments when disaster strikes.

Dr. Alleyne is an epidemiologist by training and he brings years of local health department experience 2 responding to health issues including West Nile, H1N1, Ebola and other emerging health care issues as well as his time here at NACCHO as an association executive advocating for our local health department members around the country. Also, he has worked closely with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention leadership on our many collaborative efforts to improve our communities’ public health
